Mr. Brien Wellwood originally founded Alliance Security Systems LTD in 1970. Brien’s vision was to develop a network of individually owned local security dealers to represent Alliance on a national level. Originally developed as a franchise the dealership grew to almost seventy individual dealers from coast to coast. In 1997 Brien decided to retire and sold the franchise to a much larger company with plans to further develop the group. Unfortunately the purchaser did not live up to any of their promises and instead made it impossible to continue a relationship with them under there less than acceptable standards. We still however continue to meet with the other dealers as often as possible to discuss the industry and the changes that continue to take place. The value this type of networking offers is too great to lose.

Since 1992, Alliance Security Systems of Ottawa Ltd. has provided fast, professional service to the Ottawa Carleton area. Originally an electrical contractor Leo Leclair saw security as a great add on business. Leo continued the electrical business with his older son Dwayne while his youngest son Terril l operated the security division; this father and son team quickly became one of the premier Security Company's in the area. Within three years they began winning sales awards from with the Alliance group. By 1997 Ottawa had become one of the largest Alliance dealers in Canada . With the untimely passing of Leo Leclair in December 1998, Terrill has continued with the traditional ways of the company.

A security company is concerned with properly protecting your home and will work with you closely to make sure all of your needs and concerns are addressed. The emphasis is always placed on perimeter style systems (door and window contacts) backed up by interior detection devices. Only the best equipment available is recommended not the cheapest. Generally monitoring rates are lower because no leasing is involved. The end result is a better system which you would own and therefor can determine your future. If you do not like the service being provided, the rates being charged or if they sell to someone else, you can cancel the service and go elsewhere.
